Single-tooth implants can be applied for people who are missing one or more teeth. During this procedure, your dentist will surgically place an implant in the jawbone to act as a root. A crown/cap will be attached to the top of the implant, which is made to look just like the rest of your natural teeth. After the proper amount of recovery time, this implant will feel and act just like the rest of your teeth and no one will be able to tell the difference! There must be enough bone in the jaw to support the implant and if there isn't, another surgery may be required (typically bone grafting).
